Dining Room Addition
The existing Dining Room was cozy – too cozy, crowded, in fact. And there was no door to the back yard, which the clients really wanted. This room had another problem too; it was built on a rubble foundation, which was falling apart. But the fireplace was beautiful, and had to stay. So we built around it. We also salvaged the bay window and re-used it. Now, there’s room to have company over for dinner!
The original addition was pretty, but just too small to be useful.
